This tour combines spiritual significance, medieval charm, and cultural exploration in three of the country’s most captivating locations.
Your tour begins with a visit to Fátima, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the world for Catholics. You will visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, where the tombs of the three visionaries—Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta—are located, and the Chapel of the Apparitions, the very spot where the apparitions took place. Fátima is a place of reflection, prayer, and devotion, and your guide will share the moving stories and events that make this pilgrimage site so significant for millions of people worldwide.
Next, the tour takes you to Batalha, home to the Monastery of Batalha, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This late Gothic masterpiece was built to commemorate Portugal’s victory at the Battle of Aljubarrota in 1385. The Batalha Monastery is an exceptional example of Portugal’s medieval architecture, filled with intricate stonework, soaring arches, and beautiful stained-glass windows.
The final stop on your guided tour is the enchanting medieval town of Óbidos, often referred to as the “Wedding Present Town” because it was given as a gift to Portuguese queens over the centuries. Walking through Óbidos feels like stepping back in time, with its narrow cobblestone streets, whitewashed houses adorned with colourful flowers, and medieval castle towering over the town.

My holidays couldn’t be better and it was just possible because of Miguel who guided me through the famous places. I will never forget Sintra and those enchanted places that we cannot find anywhere else.
Miguel discussed many interesting facts that only a local would know. We highly recommend Miguel and will love to tour again on our next trip to Portugal.
I highly recommend guided tour of Lisbon and the surrounding area. I was impressed with the knowledge, enthusiasm and kindness of Miguel.
